英国ITV开始根据英国女作家ValMcDermid的破案小说Dr.TonyHill中的故事"MermaidsSinging"和"ShadowsRising"改编的英国悬疑破案剧集。之后又由其他人续写，后来在第四季度第二集"Torment"又改编自ValMcDermid的Dr.TonyHill中的故事"TheTormentofOthers"。Dr.TonyHill这个角色是个大学里面的法庭心理学家，他一起与一位非常干练的女刑事探员CarolJordan合作破了一个又一个非常棘手的悬疑案件！
