《天国餐馆》改编自佐佐木伦子的同名喜剧漫画《Heaven》，以一家名为“Loin dlci”的法式餐厅为舞台，讲述了怪人老板和几个被她摆弄的、个性十足的服务员之间的喜剧故事。“Loin dlci”餐厅又名世界的尽头，店如其名，它距离车站、闹市、住宅都很远，而这家餐厅之所以叫“天国餐馆”，是因为它位于坟墓的风景区，旁边就是殡葬社。
第三季的故事从“高第街工业品市场”铭牌挂上高第街牌坊开始，街坊们有的早餐店越做越火，有的从事服装生意，有的专卖进口产品，有的开音乐茶室，有的组建乐队，有的赴港探亲……在充满激情的年代，高第街街坊们跟着时代的步伐，每个人都找到自己的新生活。
