哥伦比亚广播公司（CBS）宣布《联邦调查局》（FBI）将于2022年9月20日至2023年5月23日每周播出一集。联邦调查局的特别探员们将在第五季继续解决23个不同的危机。前四季的原班人马将会回归，女主特别探员Bell在上一季中因接触沙林毒气而受伤，被迫休养了一段时间，她在本季中的后几集重新回归。
